California Track & Engineering, Inc. (CTE) is a privately held corporation that was founded in 1981, specializing in the installation of Polyurethane running-track surfacing. The present CTE management team of officers/owners has over 50 years combined experience in the sports surfacing and contracting business.

CTE has completed over 250 successful track surfacing installations in California and the Western United States in the last 8 years. All track surfacing installations are done by employees of CTE. CTE installs Polyurethane track surfaces that range from entry-level base mat system (Caltrax M) to the World-Cass full pour Polyurethane Rekortan® System.

Base Mat Paving

SBR rubber is mixed with a Polyurethane binder and paved into place using specifically designed sports paving and mixing machines.

Seal Coat

EPDM dust is applied to the base mat filling in pores on the surface. Next, an impermeable, two-component Polyurethane sealer is added to protect against water penetration and to add resiliency.

Spray coat

A highly textured, pigmented Polyurethane/EPDM rubber mix is sprayed onto the surface. This structural spray coat adds resiliency and durability.

Full-Pour

A flow-applied, two-component Polyurethane flood coat with micro-embedded EPDM finish is applied to the surface. This embedded surface eliminates seam problems and ensures excellent all-weather performance and spike resistance.

Layout, calculations and striping are performed by highly trained professionals.
